Collaborating with HLP Klearfold, I was asked to create the artwork for some Lucky Strike® and Dunhill® branded duty-free cigarette cartons. These up-right plastic cartons were designed to be gravity-fed dispensing, where packs could be removed from the bottom. Of course one idea that popped up was to create a vintage inspired vending machine with some old school Lucky Strikes branding.
The Lucky Strike vending machine artwork was illustrated and created from scratch, using old photos of cigarette vending machines as inspiration. The artwork is a 4 color process with some gold foil accents.
